About this design
The Left-Hook Candy Cane is the mirror partner of the classic cane: the same proportions, with the hook curving over to the left and stripes angled the opposite way, so they still wrap naturally around the curve. Place it next to a right-hook cane and the two face each other.
The default color version is green with white stripes, a fresh, minty alternative to red.

Size and cutting tips
This cane passes our cut checks from about 1.5 inches tall. When using it as a pair with the classic cane, size both to the same height so they mirror each other exactly.
For iron-on, mirror the design in your cutting software as usual; the hook will then face right on the carrier sheet and left once pressed.
Step by step: a pair of cabinet door decals
- Download the solid SVG for this cane and for the classic right-hook cane.
- Size both to 6 inches tall.
- Cut both from red permanent vinyl, and the stripes from white if you want the layered look.
- Clean the two cabinet doors and let them dry.
- Apply the left-hook cane to the right door and the right-hook cane to the left door, so the hooks face each other.
- Remove them after the holidays with gentle heat from a hair dryer.
Good to know
Mirrored pairs are a quick way to add symmetry to doors, windows, mantels and card fronts without designing anything new.
Variations to try
- Try green and white for a mint-themed kitchen.
- Cut a pair at 2 inches for matching earrings.
- Use the outline file for a pen-drawn card.
Pairs well with
The Classic Striped Candy Cane is its natural partner, and the Crossed Candy Canes with Bow shows both directions together.
