About this design
The Peppermint Swirl Candy is the round cousin of the candy cane: a circle with eight curved stripes spiraling out from the center, just like a starlight mint. In the solid file, the swirls are cut out as windows inside the disc, so a single layer gives you a swirled candy against any background. The color version has a red disc with white swirls.
Round and cheerful, it suits kitchens, candy-themed parties and anything sweet.

Size and cutting tips
The swirl windows are generous, so this design passes our cut checks from about 1.5 inches wide. Weed the eight swirls first, lifting each from its outer end toward the center.
For coasters, 3.5 to 4 inches fits standard round coasters.
Step by step: candy-themed coasters
- Download the solid SVG and size it to 3.75 inches to fit standard round coasters.
- Cut it from red permanent vinyl.
- Weed the eight swirl windows, then the outer waste.
- Apply it to white ceramic or cork coasters with transfer tape.
- For ceramic coasters, seal with a heat-safe, food-safe clear coat if they will hold hot mugs.
- Stack four and tie them with red and white twine as a gift set.
Good to know
The swirl windows mean one cut gives a two-color peppermint on any white surface, with no layering.
Variations to try
- Cut it from green vinyl for spearmint.
- Use it as a giant 18-inch party decoration from foam board.
- Paint it on a round wood slice for an ornament.
A note on layering
If you prefer layering to windows, cut the color file instead: a solid red disc and a separate white swirl layer that sits on top. That route suits felt, wood and thick cardstock, where small windows would be harder to weed or paint neatly.
