About this design
The Slim Elegant Candy Cane is the refined member of the family. The cane is long and thin, the hook is small and neat, and the stripes are fine and set at a steeper angle. It looks graceful on its own and leaves plenty of room around it for text or other designs.
Its slender proportions suit narrow spaces: the side of a glass, the edge of a place card, the spine of a gift box.

- Place cards. A slim cane down the left side of each card, the guest’s name beside it.

The default color version is red with white stripes. For elegant settings:

Size and cutting tips
Despite its slim look, this cane passes our cut checks from about 1.5 inches tall. The stripes are fine, so for two-color layering in vinyl, use a sharp blade and size it to at least 3 inches.
On glassware, keep it under 3 inches tall so it sits flat on the curve.
Step by step: holiday dinner place cards
- Download the solid SVG and size it to 2.5 inches tall.
- Cut one cane per guest from red cardstock, and the stripes from white if you want them layered.
- Fold white cardstock place cards and write each guest’s name on the right side.
- Glue a cane along the left edge of each card.
- Set each card on a plate or a folded napkin.
- After dinner, guests can keep them as small keepsakes.
Good to know
The slim proportions make this the easiest cane to place next to text, because it takes up very little horizontal space.
Variations to try
- Use gold canes on cream cards for a formal table.
- Attach a real mini candy cane beside the printed one for a fun match.
A note on spacing
Leave at least half an inch between the cane and any text so the design breathes.
