About this design
The Crescent Half Wreath is deliberately lopsided. A crescent of eighteen leaves sweeps around the left side of a slim hoop, from the bottom up over to the upper right, with two little berry clusters tucked among them. The other side of the hoop is left bare.
The asymmetry gives it a relaxed, boho feel that looks hand-arranged rather than formal, and the bare side leaves room for text.

Size and cutting tips
This wreath passes our cut checks from about 2 inches wide. The slim bare side of the hoop is the most delicate part when weeding; peel the waste away from it slowly.
For text, place it in the open side of the hoop and align it optically rather than mathematically, since the leaves add visual weight on the left.
Step by step: an embroidery hoop wreath
- Download the outline SVG and size it to fit inside a 10-inch embroidery hoop.
- Draw it onto linen or cotton fabric with a water-soluble pen, using the design as a tracing guide.
- Stitch the leaves in satin stitch with green floss and the berries in French knots with red floss.
- Leave the bare side of the hoop empty, or stitch a name there.
- Rinse away the pen marks and let the fabric dry.
- Mount it in the hoop and hang it as a wall decoration.
Good to know
The asymmetric shape is popular for modern wreaths because it frames text on one side and leaves the rest of the circle calm and open.
Variations to try
- Use gold vinyl for a modern sign.
- Flip it horizontally so the leaves sit on the right.
- Add a short greeting in the open side.
A note on pairing
Two crescents facing each other make a full, open wreath with space at the top and bottom.
Pairs well with
The Open Laurel Wreath and the Eucalyptus Greenery Wreath share its relaxed, natural style.
