About this design
The Hanging Ornament Trio is a little holiday display. A straight bar runs across the top, and three round baubles hang beneath it on thin strings, each with its own small cap. The middle bauble is larger and hangs lower; the two outer ones are smaller and level with each other, which gives the design a pleasing, balanced shape.
The strings join everything into one piece, so it works as a header or border on cards, signs and shirts.

- Wall decals. Above a mantel or a doorway.
- Shirts. Across the chest of a sweatshirt in red and gold iron-on.
- Shelf edges. Cut from cardstock and hang from a bookshelf.

Color ideas
The default color version is red baubles with a gold bar and white shines. Other ideas:
- Three colors: red, green and gold baubles
- Silver baubles on a navy background
- Pastel pink, mint and blue for a retro look
- All white on kraft for a minimal style
Size and cutting tips
The strings are the slimmest part, so this design passes our cut checks from about 2.5 inches wide. Size it by width: 4 to 6 inches for a card, 10 inches for a shirt, 18 inches or more for a wall.
Weed vinyl slowly around the strings, supporting them as you lift the waste.
Step by step: a mantel card header
- Download the color SVG and size it to 5 inches wide.
- Cut the bar and caps from gold cardstock and the baubles from red glitter cardstock.
- Glue the baubles and caps onto the gold piece, matching the shapes.
- Mount the trio across the top of a white card front.
- Add a greeting below in your own font or handwriting.
- For a three-color version, cut each bauble from a different color.
Good to know
The middle ornament hangs lower and is larger, a classic display trick: an odd number of items with one focal point always looks more natural than an even row.
Variations to try
- Swap the middle bauble for a star or snowflake from our collection.
- Use it as the top border of a holiday menu or place card.
- Cut it at 30 inches wide as a wall decal above a mantel.
